Spinal Adjustments: The “crack” that most people associate with Chiropractors is in actual fact just gas within the joint! Adjustments are used when indicated to treat fixated joints with relatively poor range of motion. As well as adjustments, Chiropractors may consider alternatives such as manual and assisted joint mobilisation.
Remedial Massage: Sessions may include one or more of the following, at the discretion of the therapist; deep tissue massage, dry needling, cupping, kinesiology taping, stretching, life style and exercises advice.
Soft Tissue Therapy: This is the treatment of the bodies muscles, fascia and ligaments. We utilise a number of well known methods of treatment, including vibration massage, trigger point release, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue massage) and effleurage. Additionally we focus upon stretching of tight muscles, both actively and passively.
Dry Needling: Needling is focused upon releasing tension that is built up in the muscle. Targeting trigger points or “knots” in the muscle, we are able to achieve a decrease in muscular tightess.
Rehabilitation: Additional to the passive modalities mentioned above, ongoing active treatment is very important to maintaining optimal health. Patients may recieve a personalised rehabilitation program, designed through the PhysiTrack system to assist in their treatment.
Lifestyle Advice: We all need help sometimes! We are able to offer physical recommendations as well as discussing other areas of health (such as mental health and diet), and finding the appropriate healthcare professional for you.
X-Rays: Depending on your case, it may be necessary to request X-rays. This is done to ensure a greater understanding of the physical complaint and provide greater safety and specificity with treatment. Any X-ray requests will be bulk billed.
